Or Maybe You’re Already a Gym Lover

Maybe you’re one of those people who love the gym, get up at 5am, journal, and love learning new skills. I envy you, but honestly, pole dancing is perfect for you too! Maybe your dedication and fabulousness will rub off on me when I see you at reception, haha.

Why Pole Dancing Changes Lives

For everyone else, here’s a big claim: pole dancing will change your life.

When I started, it was the only exercise I ever really enjoyed. It didn’t feel like exercise at all. It was just fun, and it made me feel powerful and strong.

I see new people come in all the time, and within weeks their posture improves. It’s not just the exercise (although that helps, of course), they’re walking taller and feeling more confident.

The people at Bobbi’s are SO lovely. Everyone’s on their own journey, and everyone is super supportive and friendly.

What About the Outfits and Pole Shoes?

Let’s talk outfits. They’re often small because you need skin contact on the pole, and as you improve, you’ll need more skin showing. But honestly? It’s also just fun to dress up and feel sexy.

I hate wearing high heels. I don’t know how people do it. But pole shoes (“stripper shoes”) are fabulous because they have a large platform, so they’re actually… wait for it… comfortable (and they make your legs look great too).

You can absolutely do class barefoot, but I’ll bet you $10 you’ll learn to love pole shoes.

A Community for Everyone

We have people from all walks of life: all ages, body shapes, genders, neurotypes, religions, and ethnicities. It’s a giant pool of fabulousness!

So whoever you are, and whatever you’re looking for, I think you’re going to get a lot out of it.

And don’t worry if you’re not flexible, can’t touch your toes, can’t dance, or can’t do a push-up (if you can, you’ll just find it easier). We start you at the very beginning and build you up until you’re doing moves you never thought you could. You’ll be amazed at the transformation. I see it daily!

Type One Fun vs. Type Two Fun

Here’s something worth thinking about: type one fun and type two fun.

  • Type one fun: Something that’s fun at the time: eating ice cream, hanging out with your bestie.
  • Type two fun: Something that’s hard at the time, but when you finish it you’re so glad you did, like running a marathon or a long hike.

Pole dancing is both. It’s super fun, but it’s also hard, and you’ll be incredibly proud of yourself.

Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

We all have our comfort zone, and for a lot of people, starting pole dancing sits outside their current zone. It’s unknown. But once you do it, you expand your comfort zone. And the bigger that zone gets, the more you get out of life, in my opinion.
